“A life without love is no life at all” – this popular adage by Leonardo da Vinci forms the core of Sapna Bhog’s book “Take a chance on Me”. “Indian writing these days is mostly synonymous with highly emotional, complex stories or those with mythological twists. Being an avid reader myself, I love reading all types of fiction and nonfiction books. But my every day stress buster comes from reading a simple romance. With my book “Take a Chance on Me”, I want to introduce to the Indian audiences the concept of happy reading books. Books that leave you with a smile at the end,” says Sapna Bhog about her maiden book.
Die hard romance fans, particularly women from all age groups, completely relate to romantic fiction. “Reading a romance is like eating a huge bowl of your favorite dessert with an extra dollop of cream on top. It’s like food for your soul. My book “Take a chance on Me” is about two successful professionals who go through a series of misunderstandings before they find their way to each other. It’s a very light and quick read, and in the end, leaves you feeling happy and definitely wanting more of the same,” says Author Sapna, who is ecstatic in receiving excellent feedback for her maiden endeavour.
This book is the first in a series of books that Sapna is writing. The book describes childhood friendships and fun camaraderie between cousins, a typical lifestyle of a working woman and the hot cold relationship between the protagonists which is at the heart of the book. The simplicity of the writing is what makes it stand out, keeps making you turn the pages, and thus keeps the reader engaged.
