Justice P. Vadamalai of the Madras High Court officially opened a new multi-specialty block at VGM Hospital in Coimbatore. This expansion enhances the hospital’s offerings, which now include liver and kidney transplantation, cardiology services featuring a catheterization lab, a specialized liver intensive care unit, a dialysis center, and interventional radiology, all within the newly established 150-bed facility.
Har Sahay Meena, the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research; G. Prakash, Principal Secretary of the Human Resources Management Department; K. Veera Raghava Rao, Secretary of the Labour Welfare and Skill Development Department; and K. Narayanasamy, Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, delivered remarks.
V.G. Mohan Prasad, the Founder & Chairman of the hospital, noted that the initial block was established in 2009 with an emphasis on gastroenterology and underwent expansion after eight years. He stated that the newly constructed multi-specialty block will accommodate more patients and incorporate the latest advancements in medical technology.
